36 New Ready-Made Wheels in the Library
  • 36 new wheels, ready to spin in the Library — from Never Have I Ever, Would You Rather? and a Dare Wheel for parties, to Brain Break for the classroom, a Chore Wheel for home and a no-equipment Workout Spin
  • Every one comes with its own artwork: an illustrated picture for each entry, a stage picture behind the wheel and a page background
  • They are not all wheels: Your Superhero Name spins three reels, Would You Rather? is a reel, and Heads You Do It. Tails You Don’t. is a coin
A Picture for Every Entry
  • The Classic Wheel shows each entry’s picture on its slice, with a new Picture layout setting: Curved names (the default), Name pills, or Icons only. It applies to wheels of up to about 20 entries (about 12 on a phone); bigger wheels show their names as before
  • The winner popup shows the winning entry’s picture on the Classic Wheel, Center Spin, Lucky Box, Combo Spinner and Coin Toss
  • Coin Toss has a Picture layout too: Picture + name, Full picture + name, or Full picture only
  • Entry pictures now arrive with a shared Center Spin, Lucky Box, Combo Spinner or Coin Toss, and a picture with a transparent background keeps its whole shape instead of being cropped to a circle
Rare Prizes, Named
  • A rare entry is marked with a gold star on the rim of the wheel, and named with its picture and its chance of winning — under the wheel on a phone and in fullscreen, next to the Spin button on a computer. Before, a 2% slice was too thin to read, so nobody knew what the rare prize was
  • A rare slice keeps its true size. The size of every slice is its chance of winning, so the wheel still shows exactly the odds
  • Wheels where every entry has the same chance look exactly as they did
The Library on Phones and in the App
  • The filters fit on one line on a phone. Category, Type and Sort are three buttons, each opening its choices from the bottom of the screen. Before, the filters took up more than half of the first screen
  • In the Android app, the page’s name appears once, in the top bar, and a category page is called simply “Classroom Wheels”
  • Page numbers are proper buttons, with previous and next
More Control
  • Text size on the Classic Wheel now goes from 10% to 250% (it was 70% to 150%). Large text grows as far as each slice has room
  • The Entries, Appearance and Settings tabs fill the width of the panel on every screen, and no longer push “Settings” out of view on a smaller laptop
Fixes
  • A shared Combo Spinner or Coin Toss shows its own name above the stage, instead of “Combo Spinner” or “Coin Toss”
  • Center Spin’s stage picture fills the whole stage, as it does on the Combo Spinner, instead of only the reel window — and it is included when you download a picture of the reel
  • Reels no longer come to rest slightly off-centre on Center Spin and the Combo Spinner when another tab was in front during the spin
  • Shared reels drift gently while they wait, as they do on the picker pages
  • The selected filter in the Library is clearly outlined in dark mode, and the phone menu’s icons are visible in high contrast

Wheel Spin Pro on Google Play
  • Wheel Spin Pro is now a free Android app on Google Play — the same pickers, opening full-screen from your home screen
  • On an Android phone, the Get the App buttons now take you to Google Play. On iPhone, iPad and computers you can still install it straight from your browser
  • Nothing changes on the website: every picker still works in your browser, with no download

A Real Slot Reel for the Comment Pickers
Faster Pages
  • Pages load noticeably faster, especially on phones. Google’s PageSpeed score for the home page on mobile went from 58 to 88, and for the Classic Wheel from 62 to 83
  • The wheel no longer jumps down the page while it loads
Privacy & Your Account
  • Analytics is cookie-free until you accept, and not loaded again if you decline
  • Deleting your account removes everything straight away — your lists, your history, your sign-in records and your uploaded pictures. Wheels you shared keep working for the people you sent them to, with your name taken off. One account covers the website and the Android app, and this page explains how
The Installed App
  • A new app icon
  • Back takes you to the same place in the app’s list of pickers, instead of the top
  • Pages that opened blank in the app now show their content — blog posts, Secret Santa and others
  • On a tablet, the tool buttons above a picker no longer overlap, and the Combo Spinner’s reel labels fit on one line and stay readable on every tile colour
Fixes
  • The wheel and the coin no longer come out the wrong size when a page is slow to finish loading, and the ring around the coin sizes correctly on every screen
  • The contents list on the Privacy, Terms and Cookie pages stays in view and highlights the section you are reading
  • “Related pickers” links always lead to the right page
  • The site stays up during sudden bursts of visitors
  • The descriptions on many pickers now say exactly what the tool does — for example, teams are split so their sizes differ by at most one

The Same Appearance Settings on Every Core Picker
  • Combo Spinner now has the full Appearance tab — Show icons, Font, Text size, Bold text, Text shadow and Shadow colour, the same six Center Spin and Lucky Box have. It had three settings; it now has nine
  • Coin Toss has them too, applied to the writing on the coin face
  • Each picker starts on its own look rather than a copied default, so opening the panel no longer changes how the page already looked
Pictures on the Stage — and in a Share
  • The Combo Spinner reels now show your background picture through them. The picture was there all along, but each reel column sat on top of it as a solid panel, so it only ever appeared in the gaps between the reels. The reels are frosted glass now, as they always should have been
  • A stage picture on the Combo Spinner travels with a share. It used to exist only in your own browser: the link you sent arrived with no picture and nothing said why. It is saved, sent and painted for whoever opens the link
  • A picture on a coin face fills the whole side of the coin instead of sitting above the label like a small badge, and it travels with a share too
  • The Clear button appears once a stage picture is set on Coin Toss and Combo Spinner. Before, a picture could be added and there was no way to take it off again
Saved Lists
  • “Load Saved List” is back wherever you are signed in. Center Spin, Lucky Box, Combo Spinner and Coin Toss showed a “My Saved Lists” section that could save a list but offered no way to load one back — a door that only opened one way
  • Coin Toss showed that section twice. Now once, with each control working
Fixes
  • Switching to dark mode no longer leaves the reels grey. With a background picture set, the reels kept their light tint until something else made the page redraw — pressing fullscreen appeared to “fix” it. They follow the theme immediately now, on Combo Spinner, Center Spin and Lucky Box
  • The flipping coin no longer shows a hard grey line around its edge. Each face was very slightly wider than the coin's rim, so the edge of the face stood proud of the metal. The faces and the rim are the same size now, and the tails side wears its own silver rather than a darker outline
  • An entry containing a quotation mark is no longer cut short. Naming something The 6" Sub in the entry editor saved it as The 6, losing the rest — on Center Spin, Lucky Box, Combo Spinner, Coin Toss and Dice Roll
  • The number of entries now shows on the Entries tab of the Combo Spinner, as it already did elsewhere

New: The Wheel Library
  • A public library of wheels other people have made. Browse it at Library, open any wheel and spin it, or use it as the starting point for your own
  • Filter by category — Classroom, Giveaways, Food & Drink, Team & Work, Games, Decisions, Party, Fitness — or by the kind of picker it was built on
  • Sort by Most viewed, Newest or A–Z, and search by name or by what is written on the slices
  • Every listed wheel shows a picture of the actual wheel, captured as it looked when it was published, so you can see what you are opening before you click
Share Your Own Wheel
  • Made something worth keeping? Tick “Add it to the public library” in the share box, pick a category, and send it in. You need an account, and we look at every wheel before it appears
  • Your name is yours to give. Attribution is off unless you switch it on, and the share box now shows you the exact name that would appear
  • Your share link never changes when a wheel is published — anything you have already sent to people keeps working
Privacy
  • An email address is never shown on a public page. If you signed in with Google your account name is your email address, and a library card credited one of them. Cards now show your display name and nothing else — set one on your profile, and if you have not, the card simply stays unattributed
  • The profile page no longer quietly fills that box in with your email address
How the Wheel Looks
  • Slice labels read the same way all the way round. On a yellow or pale slice the label wore a white outline while every other slice wore a dark one, which stood out as a mistake — they now match
  • Labels on a wheel with a background photo now follow the picture behind them, not the colour the slice would have had. Text over a bright patch of sky goes dark; over anything else it stays light
  • A transparent centre logo no longer picks up a purple tint or a white disc behind it
Fixes
  • Large page background images work again. Choosing a picture bigger than about 1.5 MB appeared to be accepted and then never showed — the card went see-through with nothing behind it. Any size within the limit now paints
  • The “Buy Us a Coffee” tab is out of the way. It no longer sits over a wheel in fullscreen, where it could not be closed, and it waits its turn behind the cookie notice on a first visit instead of hiding underneath it
  • Two blog posts had their picture stored in the wrong folder, one clean-up away from disappearing. Both are back where they belong
Navigation
  • “More Tools” and “More Pickers” are now one menu, Tools & Pickers — two menus that mostly led to the same places, now one
  • The Library sits alongside them in the menu and in the footer

Big Lists — No Entry Limit
  • There is no limit on how many names you can add. The Classic Wheel, Center Spin and Lucky Box have never had one — but our own help text wrongly said 200, so we have corrected it everywhere
  • Names stay readable on the wheel up to around 1,000 entries. Past that the wheel shows a colour segment per entry and announces the winner by name, so a draw of several thousand still works — every entry keeps exactly the same chance of winning
  • Tested at 5,000 entries: every entry gets its own slice and the wheel still spins smoothly
  • Pickers with a physical stage — Name From a Hat, Hat Draw and Raffle Drum — still hold 200 names, and now point you to the Classic Wheel or Giveaway Wheel for bigger draws
Longer, Slower Spins
  • Spin length now goes up to two minutes, instead of stopping at 30 seconds — room to build suspense on a big giveaway in front of an audience
  • The minimum and maximum rotation settings have been raised to match
  • A long spin now survives being shared — open someone’s share link and the wheel spins the way they set it up
Fixes
  • Your saved list is no longer cut short. If you closed the tab with more than 200 entries typed in, only the first 200 came back — the rest were silently dropped. Every entry is now kept
  • Removed a duplicate, conflicting set of questions from the home page that search engines were reading

A New Winner Reveal
  • Winners now get a proper moment. When the wheel stops, the page dims around the stage and the winning name blooms into view — the wheel stays where it is, so nothing jumps
  • This replaces the old winner card across the site, so every picker announces its result the same way
  • Save card, Share link and the fairness receipt are all still there, right under the result
  • On phones the result arrives as a bottom sheet that slides up over the stage
Install It Like an App
  • Wheel Spin Pro can be installed to your home screen and opens like a normal app — no app store needed. On Android, Chrome offers to install it; on iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari and tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”
  • Launched that way, you get a clean app screen: no site header, no footer, no ads — just the tool
  • A new home screen lists every picker, grouped into families, each with a preview of its actual stage so you can see what a tool looks like before opening it
  • A back button that goes back where you expect, a one-tap theme switch on every screen, and the settings button moved out of the way of the stage
  • Sharper home screen icon that fits properly inside the rounded and circular shapes different phones use
Finding a Picker
  • Pickers have been regrouped so each family means what it says — Classic Wheel now lists actual spinning wheels, and reel-style pickers sit with their own kind
  • A new Wizarding family gathers the Harry Potter pickers together
  • The open family is now clearly marked, so you can see where you are in the list
Readability
  • Fixed buttons that were nearly invisible. On some pickers the Save, Share and Fullscreen buttons took their colour from the page behind them and all but disappeared — they now sit on their own background on every tool, in every theme
  • Fixed the winner bar jumping the stage on phones when a result appeared
  • The blog now follows your theme properly instead of always showing light, and has a working sidebar
Fixes
  • Signing in, registering and password resets were failing with an error page — fixed, along with expired reset links, which now send you back to request a new one instead of erroring
  • Colour Picker — announced no winner at the end of a spin
  • Maths Practice Spinner — ignored the number range you set and used its own
  • The embed button has been taken off individual picker pages; embedding is still available from the Embed a Wheel page

Every Picker — One Consistent Layout
  • The Classic Wheel’s rebuilt settings panel is now on every picker on the site — the same tabbed card, in the same place, whichever tool you open
  • Every picker shows its result the same way: a winner card below the stage, with Save card and Share link together
  • The card only offers a “go again” button where the tool’s own start button disappears after a spin — no more two buttons doing the same job
  • The winner pop-up is off by default everywhere — the winner appears on the page instead. Switch it back on per tool in Settings
  • The fairness receipt sits behind the shield icon on every picker, so you can show any result was drawn fairly
  • Fullscreen is available on every tool, from the button beside the title
Fullscreen
  • The stage no longer jumps when the winner appears. Wheels, dice and boards stay still from the first spin through to the result
  • The wheel is properly centred in fullscreen instead of sitting off to one side
  • Fixed several pickers that showed a narrow, phone-width panel in fullscreen — and narrowed further the moment a winner was announced
  • The fullscreen button is easier to hit, and the exit × is legible on every theme
  • Panels and lists that made no sense in fullscreen are now hidden while you are in it
Individual Tools
  • Team Generator — settings rebuilt into one compact panel, plus a fairness receipt for the team split, entry import, A–Z and Z–A sorting, and a reset
  • Dice Roll — settings split into Faces, Appearance and Settings tabs, and each face’s label can now be edited directly in the Faces tab
  • Comment pickers (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter, retweet) — fairness receipts added, Copy moved into the winner card, and a working Reset
  • Giveaway Wheel — an optional winner pop-up for announcing a draw to an audience, off by default
  • Sports pickers (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, Premier League, cricket, IPL, PSL, FIFA) — the player now wears team kit colours instead of a black silhouette
  • Hogwarts House Picker — a daytime castle in light mode, and the house is announced once rather than twice
  • Planet Picker — Saturn’s and Uranus’s rings are no longer clipped
  • Random Number Generator, Bingo Caller, Maths Practice Spinner, Random Date Picker and Colour Picker — brought in line with the shared layout
Entries & Lists
  • Import entries now works on every tool that offers it — it was doing nothing on ten pages
  • Reset added to the tools that were missing it, and removed where there was nothing to reset
  • Share links switched on for the Hogwarts and Planet pickers
Readability & Themes
  • Text across the winner card, settings panel and headings now meets accessibility contrast standards in light, dark and high-contrast modes
  • Fixed pale text on dark backgrounds in several places, including the “Again” button on the winner card
  • Fullscreen now uses one flat background colour per theme instead of a floating grey panel
Security
  • Sign-in and account actions are now protected against cross-site request forgery
  • Deleting or duplicating a saved list now requires a confirmed submission rather than a plain link
  • Session cookies are marked secure, so they are only ever sent over HTTPS
Fixes
  • Removed buttons that did nothing — dead controls were showing on dozens of pages
  • Fixed sort and clear buttons that could not be reached on some pickers
  • The winner card no longer stays on screen through the next spin

Classic Wheel — Rebuilt Control Panel
  • Advanced settings are now one card with three tabs — Entries, Appearance and Settings — instead of one long scroll
  • Entries: add entries inline, drag to reorder, shuffle, and sort A–Z or Z–A
  • Each entry has its own settings for icon, background image and weighting
  • Appearance: pick a wheel theme from mini previews, and set border, font, text size, bold, text colour, centre logo and background image
  • The simple view is unchanged — paste a list and spin
  • The wheel now sits in view when the page opens, with the intro text moved below it
Removed
  • Auto-download after spin — the “Download image (PNG)” and “Record GIF” checkboxes have been removed from every tool. A spin no longer saves a file automatically; use Save card on the winner to download it when you want it
  • Slice icons are no longer added automatically from guesswork. Icons are off by default, and when switched on they only appear where the entry name is an exact match
Fixes
  • Reset no longer changes your site theme — dark mode stays dark
  • Reset now also restores font, text size, border, icons and centre logo
  • Fixed a console error when the wheel was resized while hidden
  • Pressing Spin no longer scrolls the page when the wheel is already on screen
  • Clicking a button no longer leaves a focus outline behind
  • Entry colour swatches now follow the selected wheel theme

Comment Picker — Complete Overhaul
  • All-new animated spin reel: spins naturally, slows down, then snaps the winner into the center spotlight
