Draw a fair repost-to-win winner on X
A repost-to-win giveaway is the quickest way to spread a post on X (Twitter) — and the hardest to close out once the free picker bots stopped working. Paste the @handles of everyone who reposted, and a live reel runs through them before stopping on a winner drawn with cryptographic randomness. You choose who qualifies, duplicate handles collapse into one entry, backup winners come from the same draw, and the winner card is ready to post under your giveaway.
How to pick a winner from retweets
Close the giveaway
At the deadline, open the list of accounts that reposted your post and copy their @usernames. That list is your entry list.
Paste the reposters
Put one handle per line in the box. With “Extract @usernames only” on, extra words on a line are trimmed away and only the handle is kept.
Choose the prizes
Pick 1 to 5 winners, or 10. Keep “One chance per person” on so an account that ended up in your list twice counts once.
Draw and announce
Press Pick Winner, watch the reel land, then copy the winners or download the winner card and reply to your giveaway post with it.
Why not just use a retweet bot?
Retweet bots used to read the repost list straight from X. Since X restricted its API and started charging for it, most of those bots have either shut down or moved behind a subscription. A paste-in picker does not need the API at all, which also means it never asks to connect to your account — handy if you are running the giveaway for a client or a brand you do not own.
It also puts you back in charge of the entry list. A bot counts every repost it can see, including brand-new throwaway accounts and giveaway farms. When you build the list yourself, you can leave those out before the draw, and your audience still sees an honest, random pick on the reel.
Freeze the list at the deadline
Reposts keep changing after a giveaway ends: some people undo their repost as soon as they have entered, and others repost late hoping to slip in. The simplest fair rule is to copy the reposters once, at the closing time you announced, and draw only from that copy. Keep the pasted list (or a screenshot of it) so you can show exactly who was in the draw if anyone asks.

Say what counts
A plain repost? A quote post? A repost plus a follow? Write the rule in the giveaway post and build your list to match it.
Leave out the farms
Skip accounts with no posts, no profile picture or a name full of giveaway hashtags — they rarely claim prizes and make the result look less credible.
